Skin Advice
If
you're that super-soft touch, exfoliate your skin regularly β it can help
reduce the appearance of pimples and blackheads and make your skin look
healthier with a shine like models have in adverts. Don't spend too much
money on an exfoliator as they all broadly do the same thing. You can even
make your own by pouring some salt into a bowl of olive oil and then applying
it to your skin.
Combination skin
Combination skin is one of the most awkward skin types, but there are so many clever products available now that can combat both. Look for products with tea tree oil to help your t-zone and prevent outbreaks. Remember to take your make up off at night and always moisturise your face and neck β no matter what your t-zone is like.
Dry sensitive skin
Be careful with the types of products that you choose, and if you feel uncomfortable then stop using them immediately. Avoid alcohol in any products, and instead look for soothing ingredients such as aloe vera. A more heavy-duty moisturiser will work better on your skin, so choose a cream instead of a lotion.
Top Tip: Never rub your face dry, always gently pat it. The pulling of your skin can lead to extra wear and tear and premature aging.
Oily skin
One of the most common skin complaints, and with adult acne on the increase itβs not just the kids who are suffering. Look for products that contain tea tree extract to help combat spots, and choose a specific blemish product to provide a little extra help. Always, always use a moisturiser β just choose a lotion instead of a heavy cream.
Top Tip: When you are washing your face, finish with cold water. It may be a shock, but this will tighten your pores and help combat shine and spots.
